At G.J. Gardner Homes, all of our franchises operate within the requirements of Licensed Building Practitioners
LEARN MOREG.J. Gardner Homes has been operating in the Wanaka and Central Otago area since 2006 and is independently owned and operated by Nick Tapper of Beacon Point Building Ltd.
After working closely with G.J. Gardner Homes Head Office for many years, Nick Tapper decided he liked what he saw. He took the opportunity to set up his own G.J. Gardner Homes franchise and move his family from Auckland to Queenstown and in doing so, returned to where he grew up.
Born in Invercargill, Nick has worked with the G.J. Gardner Homes Master Franchise helping develop their advertising campaigns for 6 years, gaining valuable knowledge about the business.
Nick and his wife Charlotte have 3 teenage boys. Charlotte has a degree in fine arts from Canterbury University and offers colour consulting and interior design services. Nick's role is ensuring every customer he works with gets the best possible service and commitment from the G.J. Gardner team, servicing Central Otago.
"There is no better building company in New Zealand. The price and quality of the build is exceptional and we recognise our local builders and trades who make this happen for our customers" - Nick Tapper
Nick's grandfather began Tappers Ltd in Invercargill in 1913. The business known for selling bikes, mowers and motorbikes and its catchphrase "Go like the clappers on a bike from Tappers" was sold by his father 80 years later.
Now as Nick says, he's proud to put his name behind another Southern business and begin a new era, "What drives us is to create homes that suit the individual, couple or family in every respect. That the home has liveability, quality, lifespan and of course affordability. This applies to every home, whether straight off the plans or custom designed for tussock covered hills."
Talk to the friendly team today and discover why more New Zealanders trust G.J. Gardner to build their homes year after year.
From March 1st 2012 changes to the Building Act 2004 mean that building work of homes affecting the structure or water envelope (as when building new homes), will be classified as Restricted Building Work and is required to be carried out by competent, appropriately licensed building practitioners. At G.J. Gardner Homes, all of our franchises operate within the requirements of Licensed Building Practitioners.
